Shoes and sneakers
Look for toe, side profile, heel, outsole, stitching and size-label views. Pair weight and sizing notes add useful context.
A quick check before saving
Run these seven checks before a row earns a place in your shortlist. They cover the item, photos, sizing, price, source and likely parcel weight.
Seven-point check
Run the seven questions on each row. The details change by category—a shoe needs different views from a bag—but the missing information should always be written down.
One point per checked item. A score organizes research; it is not a safety or quality guarantee.
Look for toe, side profile, heel, outsole, stitching and size-label views. Pair weight and sizing notes add useful context.
Look for full front and back, fabric close-ups, seams, closures, tags and measurements laid flat.
Look for dimensions, hardware, straps, inside construction, closure and scale beside a familiar object.
A score is more useful when another person—or your future self—can see why each point was awarded. Copy the destination date, note the option you checked, and write one visible strength plus one unresolved question.
| Field | Example note |
|---|---|
| Category and option | Sneaker, size 43, black option checked |
| Visible evidence | Side, heel, outsole and size-label views present |
| Missing evidence | No insole measurement; pair weight is only estimated |
| Destination check | Opened today; title and selected option match the row |
| Next action | Compare size chart with a known pair before shortlisting |
Remove a row when the link opens an unrelated item, an essential measurement is missing, the photos cannot answer your category question, or a clearer row already points to the same listing. Put it on hold only when one specific check could settle the issue.
The category is clear, the photos answer footwear questions, sizing is visible and weight can enter the comparison. It may deserve a shortlist place, pending checks on the destination page.
The label is vague, the claims cannot be tested, and no photo, measurement or weight evidence is named. Remove it for now.
Save a row only if you can finish this sentence: “I am keeping this because the visible evidence answers ___, and I still need to check ___.”
Compare your surviving rows inside one category, read the shipping weight notes, and use the safety page before leaving this guide.
